In the coming year, the Auxiliary plans to revive monthly community dinners, host a rummage sale, and organize a Mother’s Day tea. Each event is designed to strengthen neighborhood ties and invite eligible participants to learn more about the Auxiliary’s mission. Membership is open to family members of those who served overseas, offering a meaningful way to honor loved ones while supporting veterans and their families. New members are encouraged to get involved, share ideas, and help shape the post’s future building on its proud history while creating a lasting legacy.
In addition to its forward-looking goals, VFW Post 9148 will celebrate a significant milestone this year: its 67th anniversary. A commemorative celebration is planned for May, with hopes of welcoming back former members, longtime supporters, and friends of the post to reflect on shared history and honor more than six decades of service.
