The City of La Mirada welcomes you, your family, and friends to the many exciting events and activities planned for our community this summer.
Spend your summer evenings filled with music, dancing, and delicious food! The Concerts Under the Stars series kicks off another season on June 8 at La Mirada Regional Park. Ten summer concerts featuring different musical genres, including Top 40 hits, 80’s music, Country, and a U2 tribute band will be offered through August 24. Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. Market vendors will be selling tasty dishes, fresh produce, and creative crafts beginning at 5 p.m.
Bring your tents and camping supplies and join us for an evening of campfires, crafts, and an outdoor movie for a special Father’s Day camp out on June 16 at Neff Park. For more information, call the La Mirada Community Services Department at (562) 943-7277.
La Mirada’s popular Independence Celebration will be held on Monday, July 3 from 4 to 9:30 p.m. at La Mirada Regional Park. Enjoy live music from country tribute band Silver Lining and party band Elemental Funk, along with a variety of food and treats sold by food vendors. The celebration will conclude with a patriotic program and exciting fireworks display at approximately 9 p.m.
Save the Date! One of La Mirada’s most popular summer events is the annual Stroll in the Park at Creek Park on Thursday, July 27 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Live bands playing a variety of music can be enjoyed as you stroll through the park or choose your favorite band and sit back, relax, and enjoy the music.
Splash your way to Buccaneer Bay! The pirate-themed water park is open daily from June 6 through August 4 and weekends through September 4. Enjoy the six-lane mat-rider slide or grab an inner tube and relax in the lazy river. Don’t forget to purchase a season pass and enjoy Buccaneer Bay all summer long.
In celebration of Parks and Recreation Month, a special “Shake, Rattle, and Roll” dance will be held at the La Mirada Activity Center on Friday, July 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. Seniors ages 50 and older are invited to enjoy ice cream, light refreshments, and live musical entertainment. The dance is free of charge and registration is not required.
Join your neighbors during the National Night Out being held alongside the summer concerts on Thursday, August 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The National Night Out event brings the community and law enforcement together to heighten crime awareness and drug prevention in our community.
