The City of La Mirada and EDCO Disposal have partnered to offer La Mirada residents a free paper shredding, e-waste collection, and mulch distribution event. The event will take place Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the La Mirada Community Gymnasium parking lot, located at 15105 Alicante Road. Household hazardous waste will not be collected at this time.
Residents will have the opportunity to shred up to three banker boxes of personal information and have unwanted electronics collected on site.
The mulch distribution will be a self-loading service. Residents must bring their own cans/bags and shovel, and there will be a limit of three cans/bags per vehicle. Participants are requested to bring a tarp to cover material if bringing an open truck or trailer.
This event is limited to La Mirada residents only. Proof of residency (i.e., driver’s license or utility bill) will be required.
