When Super Bowl LX kicked off on February 8, 2026, the Cerritos College community had a special reason to watch. Former Falcon running back Rhamondre Stevenson suited up for the New England Patriots, bringing a hometown connection to the national spotlight.
Long before his professional success, Stevenson built his foundation on the Cerritos College gridiron, where his power running style and field awareness quickly set him apart. He later continued his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma, further refining the talent and discipline that would carry him into the NFL.
Drafted by New England in 2021, Stevenson steadily rose through the ranks to become a dependable force in the Patriots’ offense. His performance throughout the 2025 season — including earning AFC Offensive Player of the Week recognition — helped propel the team through a strong playoff push and into the championship matchup.
For Cerritos College, Stevenson’s Super Bowl appearance was more than a personal milestone — it was a reflection of the college’s enduring commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. His journey continues to serve as an inspiring example for current Falcons, proving that local roots can lead to the brightest professional stages.
