As Women’s History Month approaches, Cerritos College is once again preparing to shine a light on the voices, visions, and creative spirit of its students through the return of Echoes, the college’s annual Women’s History Month Multimedia Magazine.
Presented by the Women’s History Month Planning Committee, Echoes serves as a collaborative campus showcase a space where storytelling, artistry, reflection, and innovation come together to honor the impact of women across generations.
The 2026 edition will be guided by this year’s inspiring theme: “Where Women Transform the Future.” Students from all academic disciplines are invited to contribute original work that explores, interprets, or celebrates this theme through creative expression. Submissions may include a wide variety of formats, such as:
- Essays and personal narratives
- Poetry
- Original artwork and illustrations
- Photography
- Music or original songs
- Video projects or short films
- Dance or performance pieces
- Other creative multimedia works
Selected works will be featured in the 2026 issue of Echoes, which will be published in both digital and print formats, ensuring contributors’ voices are preserved and shared across the campus community and beyond. In addition, participating students will be invited to take part in the Echoes Launch Party, a celebratory gathering held during Women’s History Month to honor contributors and showcase their creative achievements.
