Tri-City Cycling Chicks (TCCC) is a cycling club for women road cyclists of all levels who seek to challenge themselves and to push outside their comfort level. They offer weekday and weekend rides in a fun and supportive environment and participate in cycling events, while providing educational clinics throughout the year.
TCCC is based in Whittier and includes La Mirada and La Habra cities. The group encourages and supports members from the community to enjoy an active lifestyle through cycling. Their mission is to create a healthy, safe, and friendly environment to promote cycling skill development of all members through organized events.
With a multi-level club structure, there is a group for everyone – from training aficionados to coffee connoisseurs. “We love to have fun,” said one member,” We have a great time with one another and often stop for refreshments post-ride. Our club has women of all ages and backgrounds, with one passion and that is bicycles.”
The club offers a variety of rides from off-season gravel, regular road season, out-of-town destination rides, casual coffee rides, and extra riding for those looking to increase their level.
And if you’re interested in organized cycling events, group riding is a skill. Make sure you have a minimum level of proficiency and the right gear to be able to ride in a group safely for your own enjoyment and for the enjoyment of others around you … Do you have what it takes?
